Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy the summer solstice!  The Rain City Band entertained us with their singing and instrumental talent, and (as usual) the potluck food was absolutely delicious!  The kids had fun with the coloring contest, the sidewalk chalk, the hula hoops, and the foursquare games.
We hope to see you all at next year's party!

THIS YEAR'S T-SHIRT, DESIGNED BY OUR OWN EMILY KELLY

these t-shirts aren't just good-looking; they help local causes

Every year, the profits from our Summer Solstice T-shirts are donated to local scholarships and charities.  This year, the proceeds from the T-shirts (over $1300 at this point) will be donated to the First City Council on Cancer and the Tom LeCompte Scholarship Fund.  We sold out of our pre-order shirts, and have more on order. We'll let you know when the shirts are in the store, ready for purchase.

SPEAKING OF SUPPORTING LOCAL CAUSES . . .

Don't forget to follow Lloyd Gossman as he walks the entire 2200 miles of the Oregon Trail.  Sponsor his walk, and help him raise money to fight cancer.  He's made it to Idaho, which means he has about a month of walking left.  Way to go, Lloyd!
